LAWN SCARIFICATION
What is Lawn Scarification?
Lawn scarification is the process of mechanically removing thatch from your lawn. Thatch is a layer of organic material made up of dead grass, moss, and debris that naturally builds up over time.
While a small amount of thatch is normal, excessive build-up prevents water, nutrients, and air from reaching the soil. This weakens the grass, slows growth, and creates the perfect conditions for moss, weeds, and lawn disease to take hold.
Scarification clears this layer, allowing your lawn to breathe again and promoting stronger, healthier grass growth.
