How long does new turf take to establish?
Most turf begins to establish and take root within a few weeks when watered and maintained correctly. Full establishment can take longer depending on conditions.
Is turfing better than seeding?
Turfing provides an instant result and is often the quickest way to transform a garden. Seeding can be a good option in some situations but will always take longer to establish.
Do I need to water newly laid turf?
Yes. It is essential that you regularly water your newly laid turf especially during the first few weeks to help the roots establish and avoid shrinkage.
Can old lawns be replaced with new turf?
Yes. We can remove existing lawns and install new turf to create a fresh, healthy lawn.
Can you provide a WhatsApp quote?
Yes, we can provide an initial estimate from photos and videos sent via WhatsApp, but most turfing quotes will require a site visit to measure correctly and assess what preparation work is needed.
How soon can I walk on my new turf?
We recommend keeping off your newly laid lawn until the turf has had a chance to root properly. This can be anywhere between 2-4 weeks depending on growing conditions.
When can I cut my new lawn?
The first cut must wait until the lawn has had a chance to root properly. We recommend waiting at least 4 weeks from installation to cut for the first time and never cutting below 3 inches on the first cut.
